5 Things I Hate Most About Network Marketing

networkmarketing-hateHey there, glad that you’re here to read this. To be honest with you, “Hate” is such a strong word….and I never like using it. But to my defence I just had a pretty tough weekend in my business and I am human aren’t I?

Anyway… It got me thinking. What are some of the things I hate most about network marketing? Now this isn’t some gimmick article meant to stir up mud – it’s more of a personal reflection that I’m hoping you can benefit from.

It really is beneficial to reflect on how things are going in your business every now and then – so you can re-adjust, re-focus, and move accordingly so you can get back to what’s important. Making money, helping others make money, and building your business.

I really hope you pay attention to these because I’ve really put some thought into it and I think you can use these to improve your business over the coming weeks.

So… here are -  the 7 things I Hate Most About Network Marketing

1. Lazy people signing up

I think this was more my fault in the beginning. I should have never signed those people up anyway. In the end, lazy people just waste your time; they waste their money starting a business they shouldn’t have; and they ultimately burn you out. Never sign up people who you know won’t do what it takes to be successful.

2. All the New School VS Old School Arguments

Seriously… who cares what method is better. Pay per click advertising is great, and cold-calling works too. Plus, in the end it’s all about YOU. My advice to you is to shelter yourself from all the noise and focus on the main goal – building your business using whatever method works – bottom line.

3. People not educating themselves

Doesn’t it shock you how little some people know about the network marketing industry? They claim that they’re ready to make millions of dollars but don’t know a think about their industry??? Hmmmm…. that’ll never work. I think that every single network marketer, old or new, should own a copy of Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring.  It covers the basics that ALL networkers need to know and it lays a great foundation for other amazing resources. Here’s a link if you’re not familiar with this crucial reading:

4. The Bad recruiting habits of most marketers

You know what I’m talking about here. Although the network marketing industry has produced over 40% of all millionaires in North America in the past 25 years, it still has this negative vibe to it. You know why? Because of all the network marketers that don’t know any better. Chasing down leads, harassing store owners, and constantly bugging family and friends… it all turns people off. And I really hate to be pushing products in this post, but every networker should at least take a look at Black Belt Recruiting. It will change the way you look at recruiting and help you sponsor more reps. Here’s a link so you can take a peak:

If not this then find something to help you recruit more effectively. Recruiting is the life blood of our business.

5. “My company is better than yours”

I’ll be short and sweet on this one – or else I’ll write a whole book! But really, don’t you hate it when people tell you their company is better than yours? I know I do. And then after they put your company down, they try to recruit you into theirs?!?!? There really isn’t any point to this… and you shouldn’t ever do it.  It’ll make you look desperate, needy, and a little dishonest. And who wants to work with someone who’s desperate, needy, and dishonest – no me… and probably not you either.

So that’s it for now.

There’s actually a few more I’d like to go into but I’ll save those for another day. Or better yet, I don’t think I’ll ever write about them at all.

Really, I just needed the space to vent… so thanks for listening. It really is people like you that make my job enjoyable.

Thanks again and talk to you later,

Chuk.
